About Sports 4 All

Sports 4 All exists so that every athlete — seated or standing, eight years old or eighty — can find a sport, a club and a next step. We present athletes with disabilities as athletes first.

We start with fencing. Gymnastics, skiing, swimming, track and field and team sports will follow, so one conversation can open the door to many sports.

How this was built

Fencing for All was created in collaboration with USA Fencing as part of the Salesforce Agentforce for Good Hackathon. Sport Compass is powered by Salesforce Agentforce and Data Cloud, and fencing guidance reflects USA Fencing information.

Fencing for All: Agentforce for Good

Sports should be for everyone. Sports 4 All helps athletes and families understand adaptive sports, discover inclusive programs, and get trusted guidance—starting with Fencing for All.

The experience is powered by Salesforce Agentforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, the Sports 4 All MCP, Lovable Cloud, a consumer-facing web experience and a ChatGPT Plugin driven by the same agent.

The challenge

The opportunity to participate exists. Finding it is the hard part.

  • Families often do not know whether a sport can accommodate a disability.
  • Adaptive-sports information is fragmented across governing bodies, clubs, event pages and local organizations.
  • Rules, classification, equipment, eligibility and qualification pathways can be confusing.
  • Many families do not know what questions to ask.
  • Program information may be outdated, inaccessible or unavailable in the family's preferred language.
  • Smaller sports organizations cannot provide knowledgeable, multilingual assistance around the clock.
  • When self-service fails, people may abandon the sport rather than request help.

From uncertainty to participation

  1. Step 1: Ask a question
  2. Step 2: Understand available adaptations
  3. Step 3: Find a suitable program
  4. Step 4: Save relevant preferences with consent
  5. Step 5: Connect with a person when needed
  6. Step 6: Begin participating

Social impact and ethical focus — 20%

Removing barriers between curiosity and participation

  • Children and adults with disabilities
  • Parents and caregivers
  • Beginning athletes
  • Adaptive and wheelchair athletes
  • Coaches and club operators
  • Families who speak different languages
  • People who do not know which sport or program fits their needs

The agent does not decide whether someone is capable of participating. It helps people understand options, accommodations, programs and appropriate next steps.

The agent opens doors. It does not define a person’s limits.

Every measure below is labelled honestly. Nothing here is a claimed result.

Responsible AI — 20%

Helpful AI with human-centered guardrails

  • Sport Compass does not diagnose medical conditions.
  • It does not infer a disability or limitation.
  • It never tells someone they cannot participate.
  • It separates general guidance from official eligibility, classification and qualification rules.
  • It treats governing-body rules as time-sensitive.
  • It refers people to an official governing body or qualified professional when confirmation is needed.
  • It asks for consent before saving participant preferences.
  • It asks for confirmation before sending contact information in a human-assistance request.
  • It collects only the minimum information needed.
  • Agentforce credentials, Salesforce tokens, internal prompts, middleware secrets and raw error details never reach the browser.
  • A clear path to human assistance is available in every conversation.
  • When confidence is limited, answers say so and point to the governing body.

Accessibility — 20%

Accessibility is the product, not an add-on

The whole site — not just this page — is designed toward WCAG 2.2 AA. Accessibility work here is deliberate and tested by keyboard, at 200% zoom and with reduced motion enabled.

Built in throughout

  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • Skip-to-content link, semantic landmarks and ordered headings
  • Labelled controls, instructions and accessible form validation
  • Chat responses announced politely to screen readers
  • Accessible loading and error states, never colour alone
  • AA colour contrast, large touch targets, plain language
  • Browser zoom and text resizing supported
  • Reduced-motion support and no auto-playing animation
  • Descriptive alternative text; decorative images hidden
  • Language attributes set when the answer language changes
  • Responsive layouts for phone, tablet, laptop and widescreen

Accessibility preferences

The accessibility button in the bottom corner of every page lets anyone set larger text, increased contrast, reduced motion, a more spacious layout, underlined links and a more readable typeface. Preferences are saved in your browser — no account needed.

Accessibility statement

Our target
Designed toward WCAG 2.2 AA. We do not claim full conformance, because not every page has been formally audited by an independent tester.
Supported features
Keyboard-only use, screen-reader labelling and live announcements in chat, visible focus, reduced motion, text resizing to 200%, adjustable text size, contrast, spacing and typeface.
Known limitations
Answers come from an AI agent, so response wording varies and may occasionally be long. Program information depends on the governing body and may be incomplete. Some content is currently English only.
Reporting a problem
Email information@usafencing.org and tell us the page and what got in your way. We aim to reply within five working days.

Originality — 15%

A trusted sports-access agent that can go anywhere

  • The experience begins with the human question, not a complicated directory.
  • Agentforce turns uncertainty into clear next steps.
  • Data Cloud can unify program, governing-body, participant-preference and engagement data.
  • MCP makes the same Agentforce capabilities reusable across channels.
  • The website and the ChatGPT Plugin use the same agent instead of disconnected assistants.
  • Human escalation stays part of the journey.
  • Fencing is the focused starting point; the architecture expands to other summer, winter, recreational and Paralympic sports.

How a question travels

Live system status

Checking services…

Each status is checked against the live service. Nothing here is hard-coded.

Ask for a person means a visitor can always reach a human. When someone asks for help, Sport Compass shows a short form, asks permission before sending anything, and passes the name, preferred contact method and reason to USA Fencing at information@usafencing.org. This status shows whether that request tool is reachable right now — never that a person is waiting live.

Agent observability

Every agent action should be understandable and measurable

What we record

  • Agent sessions: internal id, hashed visitor token, Agentforce session id, sequence id, channel, language, timestamps and consent state.
  • Agent events: session reference, timestamp, tool name, event type, success or failure, response latency, error category, escalation requested, program result count and safety fallback.

What we never record

  • Salesforce access tokens, Agentforce credentials or MCP secrets.
  • Medical details or full contact information in analytics.
  • Raw conversations — transcripts are not stored by default.
  • Administrative data exposed to the browser: this dashboard is aggregate-only, served from the server under row-level security.
